Phoebe Philo, creative director of fashion house Celine, will leave her place in 10 years’ time, the house confirmed to the guardian this afternoon, confirming months of speculation.
Philo said in a statement on the label that working with Celine was “an extraordinary experience”. She added: “I am grateful to be able to work with a very talented and loyal team, and I want to thank everyone who has worked together and talked to me along the way… That’s great.”

The internal design team will complete the temporary collection before selecting the new creative director.
